EMAP I—Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology and Paleoclimatology Project
Phase I (Lake Gramousti and Rezina Marsh, Epirus, Greece)

EMAP I was a project focused on NW Greece, and organized by Harvey Weiss, Mark Abbott, and Kathy Willis. Mark has a project summary available on his webpages. I (Besonen) helped out with the field work and subsequent lab work for the sediment cores we obtained. The two primary targets were based on earlier work by Kathy, and the first was the lowland Lake Gramousti (click this link to see the location in Google Maps). The second target was the upland Rezina Marsh (click this link to see it in Google Maps). There are a few pictures from this work available below.
